Joey Yung Celebrates Platinum Sales

Joey Yung (容祖兒) celebrated the success of her latest album Joey In Motion yesterday, when she was presented with a platinum record for her sales. To celebrate her great results, Joey paid a five-figure sum to treat her colleagues to a champagne reception.

Asked if she was confident that she will reach double platinum sales, Joey said that this was probably too ambitious in light of the current market conditions in the music industry.

Joey Yung will soon be embarking on her North America tour. Asked if she will be checking out the cheap real estate out there at the moment, Joey replied that she is not particularly interested in moving to America and is more attracted by property in China, because she can stay there when she works in the future and avoid the need to check into hotels.

Asked if she has suffered from the recent crashes in the stock markets, Joey said that she was not sure because she has advisors to help with her finances and investments.

With recent rumours that good friend Cecilia Cheung (張拍芝) may have suffered a miscarriage, Joey said that she was not aware of this and was quite sure that the reports were false. Talking about Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) and Cecilia Cheung moving into a multi-million dollar mansion recently, Joey Yung smiled that she would like to go and visit it too and have a look for herself.
